Descriptions that will send a buyer the wrong part.
Two Wehrli turbo pedestals have their descriptions exactly swapped — each names the engine family belonging to the other. Several ACL bearings carry copy naming the wrong engine. A Steel flange opens by calling itself Aluminum. In a fitment-driven category, a wrong-engine description isn't a typo — it's a return, and a dented reputation with the installer who ordered it.

Compliance, by the whole feed
Prop 65 reads Unknown across entire brands (Forced Performance, HKS, Industrial Injection), and CARB-approved items are missing the required EO number.
Invisible to fitment search
Vehicle fitment IDs are blank for all HKS items and 107 of 110 Industrial Injection items — so they never appear in a year/make/model search.
Identifiers that break EDI
A barcode that doesn't match its part number, MFR part numbers stored in the barcode field, and 27 Garrett kits with malformed IDs — blocking ACES/PIES syndication.
Systemic, not scattered
The worst issues aren't random — they're whole-feed patterns, one supplier at a time, which makes them fixable as a rule at intake rather than record by record.
How EKOM read it. With no schema and no manual setup, the engine profiled the catalog and detected that quality tracks with the supplier each product came from — so it partitioned by supplier feed and read each in full. That's what surfaces a whole-brand fitment gap or an entire line's "Unknown" compliance status, instead of averaging it into "mostly complete." The catalog chose its own split.
